Airline travel always takes it out of me.

(That and Whilst's efforts to annihilate my liver whenever I visit LA.)

I figured if I was wasting time the least I could do is inflict the same memes on everyone else.

=)

On a pretty-much-daily basis, I read a couple of dozen webcomics.

Probably my favorite is Schlock Mercenary. Start here, if you're not already familiar and then go back and read the thousand-strip archive =)

I don't play console RPGs, but RPG World and Adventurers are both a good sendup of that genre. (Actually, I don't really play console games at all - and I don't seem to play that many computer games these days... go figure.)

I just started reading Antihero for Hire and though it's going a little slow seems to be an amusing twist on the superhero genre.

For that 80s high school flash back side of things, As If! is hilarious.

In the soap opera side of things, Bruno Baldwin is the story of a neurotic New Englander.

A very different Bruno is Bruno the Bandit, a great spoof of swords-and-sorcery.

In the "Pixelly Goodness" category, we have Diesel Sweeties, a story of Clango the Robot, his ex-porn star girlfriend, her little sister, and a cast of other oddballs.

War is doing his AOL-as-Dark-Lord version of Lord of the rings at Digital War, which is somewhat hit or miss, but is entertaining anyway.

I read Elf Only Inn until it died, I still hope the artist picks it back up. He'd had some rough moments but parts of it were just hilarious. It hurts and stings!

Another soap opera, more or less, FANS! has its moments (and some great characterization).

Much more lighthearted and prone to slapstick is Freefall. This one is actually surprisingly engrossing given how light it seems.

Lots of folks like General Protection Fault although I find it to be sometimes great and sometimes eh.

From the "twisted sense of humor" side of things we get Goats, featuring the Dungeons and Hamsters-playing aliens Neil and Bob, among a cast of other drunkards.

Inktank has two strips - Angst Technologies is the chronicle of a small software company, whereas Weak-end Warriors looks at a paintball team. I favor the former, but I haven't played paintball in some time.

Scott Kurtz usually does good work with the team at PVP, a story about a gaming magazine and their wacky staff (and occasional panda attacks).

Real Life Comics is only vaguely real life for its characters, but what the hell, the artist has more fun breaking the fourth wall.

For pure zaniness you usually can't beat Slick and Monique of Sinfest.

I used to really enjoy Sluggy Freelance but it isn't nearly as funny these days, at least for me. But what the hell, it's a definitive webcomic. Or to put it another way... Yes! Spam Satan!

Another twisted comic (for which I blame Ryan) is Something Positive - I think we can all find some folks we know in this strip.

A eco-friendly post-apocalyptic storyline runs at The Wandering Ones... wasn't quite Gamma World, I'm afraid, but probably just as well.

All geeks must read User Friendly although the humor value waxes and wanes periodically.

I find the retrospective look at childhood pretty funny at You Damn Kid... but man, what a bunch of loons.

Ok, I shall resume with other timewasters later.

oh great
