tried out the demo for this game, can't decide if I actually want to buy it. I suspect I shouldn't, as it'll probably time-suck me. It looks fun in a SF-skin on generic Civ sorta way.

Elfric, I seem to recall you saying you'd tried it and not liked it - what did you like or dislike about it?

Rainier cherries are back in the store... I grabbed a few and wow, are they tasty. There's a couple of roadside stands at various locations kinda near my house that usually sell fruit of various sorts during the summer; I'll have to take a swing up that way and see if I can't find better prices on them.

so I finally found a Java IDE that I like - I've been cranky about Java tools for years, and I'm still using Visual Cafe on my Win2K box at home because I really couldn't stand most of the new ones. But IntelliJ got me hooked with their thirty-day trial, and I finally just bought it the other day. It does all the usual color-coding, but it also has great refactoring support, compiles to multiple VMs, the code completion is actually useful, and in general it just makes my life a lot easier than the usual java coding tools.

I'm told the debugger is nice but I haven't done much with it yet... so this might be a little premature. But I figured I'd throw my two cents in for anyone out there doing java code.
